Born in Prince Georges County Maryland, Grady Romblad moved to Parsonsburg in Wicomico County Maryland with his family at age 7. After graduating from Parkside High School, Grady enlisted in the Army and served at Fort Bragg, North Carolina providing voice and data communications to the 18th Airborne Corps and its subordinate units. He participated in Operation Uphold Democracy in Haiti. Following his honorable discharge from the Army in 1996, Grady worked for MCI and then Nextel, providing nationwide network support for both companies. In 2004, with his oldest child ready to enter kindergarten, Grady and his wife decided they wanted the children to grow up on the Eastern Shore so the family relocated to back to Wicomico County. Grady started his own business and learned firsthand how difficult government regulation and taxation are small business owners. In 2008 Grady accepted a contract position with Verizon working on a communications project for the United States Senate. He is now a stay at home dad taking care of his two children.
